The Hamsa has been used as a good luck symbol for centuries. It is customary to place your first hamsa near the front door and additional ones near other doors and windows. According to the Kabbalah (Jewish mysticism), the blue eye cannot lead to evil - it constitutes a protective layer from evil. The hamsa's positive energy draws happiness, riches and health.
